Terms of ServiceThese terms & conditions apply whether a contract has been made verbally or in writing. The hirer is responsible for the actions and decisions of all passengers on board including and additional costs incurred in performing the contract whether or not they actually travel with the party.
All quotations are given subject to the company having available a suitable vehicle at the time the hirer accepts the quotation. Quotations are given for Taxi & driver only. Quotations are valid for 7 days unless otherwise notified. All verbal quotations are given for Pick-up to final destination, variations will be charged accordingly.
Use of vehicle
The hirer cannot assume the use of the vehicle between outward & return journeys, nor that will it remain at the destination for the hirer’s use unless this has been agreed with the company. The company reserves the right to levy additional charges for additional mileage or time to that agreed. The charges will be pro rata & in accordance with booking confirmation. Seating capacity -The maximum numbers allowed on the vehicle is indicated on the vehicle. No standing passengers allowed. Drivers will not carry an extra passenger over the seating capacity.
Will not be carried unless prior arrangements have been made. The only exception is guide dogs but please state whilst booking you will have a guide dog travelling.
Cancellation by hirer
If the hirer wishes to cancel the hire before 24 hours of the journey and if not shared we offer full refund. Less than 24 hours of the journey if not shared we offer 50% refund. If the journey is shared or in case of no show we can not offer any refund.
Cancellation by the company
In the event of an emergency or an action by the hirer to vary the agreed conditions, the company may return all monies paid and without further liability cancel the contract.
Change of vehicle
The company may provide a larger vehicle than the size hired at no additional charge.
The route used, unless the hirer has advised of a particular route or places to be passed en-route, which will be specified on the confirmation letter, will be at the discretion of the company and/or the driver. The vehicle will depart at the times agreed by the hirer, and it’s the responsibility of the hirer to account for all passengers at those times. The company will not accept liability for any losses incurred by the passengers who fail to follow instructions given by the hirer. Shared journey routes according to the itinerary, which will be sent 24 hours prior journey. There are no changes thereafter. The company will give a 30 minutes time slots for pick ups in the itinerary and send a text message 10 minutes before pick up. Is the hirer responsibility to be ready by then to make the pick up as quick as possible. We can not wait more than 5 minutes after arrival and unfortunately we can not offer any refund for your missed fare. Waiting time will be charged as follows; Please be aware that we are handling waiting time differently in shared and individual trips. The first 10 minutes from the arrival of the taxi is free, thereafter waiting time will be charged at 40p per minute. If the hirer will not show up and can not be contacted for 30 minutes we will consider it as a "NO SHOW" so well cancel the trip and we wouldnt be able to offer any refund. The first hour waiting at any airport is included in the fare. After the first hour we reserve the discretionary right to charge waiting time at 40p per minute plus parking. We would ask where possible if you could contact us if you are aware of any delays. Breakdown or delay -The company gives advice on journey times in good faith, but does not guarantee the completion of a journey at a specific time, and will NOT be liable for inconvenience or loss caused by breakdown or delay.
All vehicles hired are subject to restrictions on carry luggage for statutory safety reasons & the driver shall be the sole judge as to wether & to what extent passengers’ property is carried. The company will not accept liability for any damage or loss of any property, which belongs to any passengers and is left on a vehicle. Any articles of found property recovered from a vehicle will be taken to the nearest police station and then down to the hirer to retrieve property.
All hirers and individual passengers are recommended to obtain insurance for those items where, save for negligence, the company’s liability is limited ( such as delay or luggage ).
Conduct of passengers
The driver is responsible for the safety of the vehicle. Any passengers whose conduct is in breach of statutory regulations or their inappropriate behaviour disturbing the fellow passengers will be removed on the driver’s authority. The hirer will be responsible for all damages caused to vehicle by passengers during the hiring.
Under no circumstances may alcoholic drinks be carried on or consumed upon the vehicle. The company/driver reserve the right to refuse passenger who is too drunk to carry with no refund given.
All Taxis are non-smoking.
Must be made within 7 days of the date of hire in email. No compensation will be paid out from our company for any reason.
The quotations given is based on operating costs at the date of the quotation. When more than 28 days elapse between the date of the quotation and the date of departure, the company reserve the right to pass on to the hirer any increase in cost of fuel or any other increased cost resulting from Government action. We reserve the right to charge a valeting charge for any soiling in our vehicles or damages made by passengers. Soiling charges will be under discretion to the driver between £20-£100.

Orders are only accepted in that the Law of England shall apply to the contract arising from such an order, and to the determination of the rights and liabilities of the respective parties and in that no action or other proceedings shall be bought by either party in relation to such contract except in Court of competent jurisdiction in England.
Tariff published on this website will be subject to on-going review and should only be used for guidance.
Share And Ride will communicate with customers to advise of any delays in service that may occur. We will only commit to realistic arrival times based on traffic conditions and position of the fleet at the time of booking.
We are only able to take pre booked journeys not less than 48 hours prior and we can not guarantee to offer the sharing option on trips which are less than 50 miles. All fares must be paid in advance by credit or debit card.
All bookings taken by ShareAndRide are on behalf of subcontracted drivers and have agreed to complete your said journey. No responsibility can be taken by ShareAndRide for any failure whatsoever by the driver to complete your journey. ShareAndRide reserve the right to provide a substitute vehicle from one of our subcontractor companies.
